Renault Clio Estate

Renault is expanding its Clio range by offering a new wagon, dubbed the Clio Estate.

The new model, set to be unveiled at the 2007 Frankfurt Motor Show next month, shares the same styling criteria as the already successful Clio III on which it is based, but adds an extra 151 liters of space to the rear luggage compartment. Measuring 4.2 metres in length, the new estate is also 214mm longer than its five-door sibling.

Renault claims the design of the new wagon (called the Sport Tourer in the UK) echoes the lines of Clio Grand Tour Concept unveiled at the 2007 Geneva Motor Show, albeit with the addition of the two rear passenger doors. The company also claim the new car is a 'compact vehicle that builds on the strengths of Clio III in terms of driving pleasure, interior space, comfort, and safety'.
