With new sheet metal, the car has a much more angular, aggressive look. Chevron-shaped daytime running lights add a shot of pizzazz. But the new shape is still clunky and busy.
MAZDA 3 ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION
A new 167-horsepower 2.5-liter 4-cylinder, replacing the current 156-horsepower 2.3-liter in its S model. The 148-horsepower 2-liter engine continues.
Pricing is expected to be in the current Mazda 3 range, about $15,000 to $21,000. But no pricing or model designations were announced.
