TERRE HAUTE — Carnival rides, 4-H animal shows, sprint car races, demolition derbies and many other activities will make the 2009 Vigo County Fair a big attraction for people across the Wabash Valley next month.“I didn’t think last year’s fair could be beat, but I think we’ve got a better one coming this year,” said Dave Hartmann, Wabash Valley Fair Association president, speaking at “media night” at the fairgrounds Thursday.Grandstand events are planned for each of the seven days of the fair, July 12-18, organizers said. Most grandstand events will cost $10 or less.
