Chevrolet Equinox

GM has released photos of the next generation Chevrolet Equinox, which will make its debut at the NAIAS next week. Scheduled to hit showrooms in May, the new Equinox will use the updated Theta platform, which also underpins the GMC Terrain.

The revised exterior design displays a solid stance and sturdy profile, with robust wheelarches anchoring the vehicle's large surface volumes. At the front, the face is defined by the definitive single-bar Chevrolet grille, with the headlamp graphic boundaries reminiscent of the Opel Antara.

Interior renderings show a simple and clean design, with detailing that appears sporty and futuristic. The array of options will include a Bluetooth application, USB ports, and a DVD navigation system.

Two engine choices will be offered: a 2.4-liter four-cylinder generating 180hp (which will power the standard model) and a 3.0-liter 255hp V6.
