Chevrolet Corvette
For those who were craving to buy the globally-renowned sports car ‘Chevrolet Corvette in India could soon do so when the US carmaker introduces it in the Indian market in the distant future.

Business Standard nwo carries a news item that Timothy E Lee, president, international operations of General Motors has revealed to them about the Standard GM’s plan of selling internationally popular models to India. He also said cars like the Camaro (a muscle car) and Corvette will be brought to India and sold via special boutiques in small numbers as the duties levied on these CBUs are very high.

Timothy E. Lee, president, international operations of General Motors was quoted as saying to BS, “The import duty required selling the other kinds of Chevy vehicles like Corvette or Camaro is quite extensive to do it for the buying public. We will have a boutique offering for those kinds of brands but those will never be the volume products for India. Every one of those products will create its own space in India, but it will be very small in numbers.

The World's Fastest Corvette

In a change from all the high dollar exotic cars I usually feature here, this is a high dollar exotic Chevrolet.
The Chevrolet Corvette C6 ZR1 may be the fastest Corvette ever built.
The ZR1 is powered by a modified LS3 (the LS9) that produces 638 hp and 604 ft.lbs.of torque.
This is largely due to the sixth-generation Eaton TVS R2300 roots 4-lobe supercharger with an intercooler that's mated to the LS9.

What does all this mean in a straight line?
Try 0 to 60 in 3.43 seconds with an estimated top speed of 210 mph.
The Vette can blast through the quarter mile in 10.988 seconds, at 135 mph.
The cost on this little number?
About $115,000.
Not bad compared to some of the other cars we've had on here.
