The V10 powerplant generates 354 lb-ft (480Nm) of torque at 6,800rpm. The application of VVT-i variable valve timing with intelligence on both intake and exhaust combined with equal length exhaust manifolds and high-volume 12-hole fuel injectors results in 90% of this formidable torque being available between 3,700rpm and the 9,000rpm red line, for searing in-gear acceleration at any engine speed and in any gear. The result is a 0 – 60 mph (96km/h) time of just 3.6 seconds and a top speed of 202 mph (325km/h) – exhilarating performance from a bone fide supercar.
With a low 3,263 lb (1480kg) curb weight – achieved by the extensive use of lightweight Carbon Fiber Reinforced Plastic (CFRP) for the chassis and bodywork – and an explosive 412kW/560DIN hp, the LFA steps into the supercar arena with a heady power to weight ratio of 278 kW/378 DIN hp per tonne. The combination of a high, 12:1 compression ratio, low friction internals and optimised intake and exhaust flow results in the LFA’s powerplant developing an exceptional 85.7 kW/117DIN hp per liter, one of the highest specific outputs amongst the current crop of supercars.

Swinging open the LFA’s doors reveals a dramatic low-slung cockpit that has been intelligently designed and hand-assembled with the finest materials to reflect the car’s driver-centric dynamics. The intimate two-seater cabin has been conceived at every stage – ergonomics, acoustics, materials, comfort, versatility and visibility levels have all been painstakingly engineered – to put the driver at the centre of the driving equation.

The cabin is logically divided into three zones. The first is the mechanical zone, the skeleton that emphatically underlines the LFA’s supercar performance. The Lexus GS is a series of mid-size luxury sports sedans / executive cars sold by Lexus since 1993. Designed to fill the gap between the ES and LS, and to provide Lexus with a performance sedan to compete in the mid-luxury class, three generations of the GS have been produced to date. The first incarnation of the GS was introduced in 1993 in the United States, Europe and selected markets in Asia. The second generation model premiered in 1998, using a new platform and adding a V8 version for the first time outside Japan. The current third generation GS, which premiered globally for the 2006 model year, comes in both V6, V8, and hybrid versions, later known as the GS 450h performance hybrid. The third generation GS is also the first model to feature Lexus' own L-finesse styling upon its introduction.

Styled by the famous Italdesign Giugiaro firm, and equipped with an independent, double-wishbone suspension setup, the Toyota Aristo was launched in October 1991, offering two inline-6 powered versions for the Japanese market: the 3.0Q and 3.0V. The Aristo 3.0Q (codename JZS147) featured a 2JZ-GE engine which produced 226 hp (169 kW), while the Aristo 3.0V (JZS147) was equipped with a 24-valve twin-turbo 2JZ-GTE engine which produced 276 hp (205 kW). This twin-turbo engine was the same as could be found in the Toyota Supra RZ (JZA80). In 1992, a third model, the V8-powered 4.0Zi-Four (codename UZS143), joined the Aristo lineup. This model came with standard four-wheel drive and a 250 hp (186 kW) 1UZ-FE engine. This V8 had also been used in the first generation Lexus LS and the Toyota Crown Majesta. However, the only engine available for export markets was the 2JZ-GE inline-6.

The GS interior was available with leather bird's-eye maple or walnut trim. Major standard features ranged from a 10-way driver and front passenger power and heated seats with three-position Lexus Memory System, SmartAccess keyless system with push-button start, a driver-side hidden drop-down panel for infrequently used controls, standard 7-inch touchscreen display, and LED lighting in the cabin. Unique to the Lexus GS series was a three-pod instrument cluster with machined aluminum facings and an electrochromic feature. Optional features ranged from a power moonroof to a discrete 5.1 surround sound 14-speaker 330 watt Mark Levinson premium sound system, XM-satellite radio and DVD-based navigation with backup camera and Bluetooth technology. Competitors to the Lexus GS included the BMW 5-Series, Mercedes-Benz E-Class, Volvo S80, Audi A6, Jaguar XF, Infiniti M, and Acura RL.

The Lexus RX is a luxury crossover SUV sold by Lexus since 1998. The RX series has comprised multiple V6 and hybrid-powered models (such as the RX 300, RX 330, RX 350, RX 400h, and RX 450h), in either front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive versions. Three generations of the Lexus RX have been produced to date, in compact or mid-size form. The Lexus RX has been the best-selling luxury SUV on the US market since its introduction and has ranked as among the best-selling luxury vehicles in the United States. The redesigned RX 350 features a revised 3.5-liter 2GR-FE V6 engine producing 275 horsepower (205 kW) with a wider power curve, it remains ULEV-II certified and now uses a six-speed automatic transmission with sequential shift. A double wishbone rear suspension setup replaces the previous MacPherson strut design for improved handling and greater cargo space, while an optional Sports Package adds a performance-tuned suspension. Both non-hybrid and hybrid models continue in either front or all-wheel drive configurations, with the all-wheel drive system gaining Active Torque Control for greater efficiency, and all models are built off the new midsize flexible K-platform. American RX 350 sales began in February 2009 as a 2010 model.

Lexus has staged the global debut of the CT 200h F Sport model at the Australian International Motor Show (AIMS) in advance of the model’s introduction to Australia in the first half of 2011.F Sport CT 200h receives a number of visual and performance enhancements in keeping with Lexus’ F Sport model line-up.Performance and exterior enhancements include unique suspension, front and rear styling, alloy wheels and badging, along with the choice of Lexus’ unique Flame Blue exterior color.

Lexus is expanding choices in its popular IS sport sedan line for 2011, adding a 306-horsepower IS 350 all-wheel drive (AWD) model and offering a new Sport Package for the IS 250 rear-wheel drive (RWD). Revised front and rear styling details sharpen all IS models for 2011.  In addition, the IS sedans feature minor interior trim changes.

Canadian drivers seeking a contemporary interpretation of the luxury sport sedan will love the performance, comfort and features of the IS 250 and IS 350 – and now, for the first time, Lexus is offering guests a choice of either model in rear-wheel-drive and in all-wheel-drive editions. A new front grille and bumper distinguish the 2011 Lexus Luxury Sport Sedan IS 350, while at the rear, the models show a new taillamp cover and revised tailpipe design. New HID headlamps with LED daytime running lamps are standard on the 2011 Lexus Luxury Sport Sedan IS 350 and available for the IS 250. Keeping with Lexus’ attention to detail, the 2011 IS models feature new-design standard 17-inch and optional 18-inch wheels, along with revised exterior color choices.

The F-Sport Package available for the 2011 IS 250 and standard on the IS350 RWD takes inspiration from the IS F ultra-performance sedan, combining special suspension and steering tuning and 18-inch wheels with distinctive design touches. 2010 Lexus LFA SE Limited Edition

Will soon be inaugurated the Lexus LFA SE Limited Edition, will come with canards and a fixed wing in CFRP (carbon fiber reinforced polymer). This car will be available in Black, Matte Black, “Whitest White”, or Orange.

The engine of Lexus LFA SE Limited Edition’s power is said to get a boost from 560 to 570 horsepower (ECU work, most likely), and the suspension is “high-power-only”, whatever that means. The Special Edition’s SWs (special wheels) will be shod in grippy rubber (Haiguripputaiya), which should help get the power to the ground through the re-calibrated transmission. Whereas a regular LFA’s shift speed on a track day would be around 0.2 seconds, an SE owner’s rack day will get done just a hair quicker at 0.15 seconds.

2010 Lexus LS 600h – Design Update

The 2010 Lexus LS 600h has been updated with the sporty style and provide more comfort to passengers and drivers.

The re-design done according to the 2010 model starts from the bumper, revised grille, indicator repeaters in the door mirrors and new LED sidelights. The headlamps benefit from an automatic dipping system that uses a sensor in the rear view mirror to detect street lights and other vehicles, switching high beam on and off without driver intervention.

Designated passenger comfort and driver package is to provide a chair. Be more interested in the ‘Rear Seat Upgrade Package’ including four-zone climate control and electrically adjustable back seats. Long-wheelbase versions can now be specified with the optional ‘Relaxation Package’ on five as well as four-seat models. This gives the left-hand rear seat (on right-hand drive models) an electrically adjustable foot and thigh rest as well as a massage system.

In addition, drivers should also appreciate the new Brembo brakes. The front disks measure 380mm and are clamped by six-piston callipers. Lexus claims that stopping power has been improved by 12.5 percent. The LS 600h range starts at £90,660. The long wheelbase version with the Rear Seat Relaxation Package is £96,645.
