Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport launched in India

It's one of the most worthwhile cars in the world and why not-with 1001 bhp pumping out of its 16 cylinder, quad-turbocharged engine, the Bugatti Veyron has been the fastest production car on the planet. Even after the SSC Ultimate Aero beat the original Veyron to claim the title, Bugatti then came up with the Veyron Super Sport-1200 bhp of power that decimated any of the competition.

The Veyron that will be sold in India through Exclusive Motors' showroom in New Delhi, is the 16.4 Grand Sport-yes, the same car that Vikram Gour drove in Italy a couple of weeks back. Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Satya Bagla, Managing Director, Exclusive Motors said "We are pleased to launch Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport in India; the car is a modern statement of ultra luxury, speed and extraordinary style. We have introduced this car in the Indian market for the super premium luxury and sports car aficionados. Bugatti 16C Galibier features

The interior appears to be quite similar to the Chevy Cruze’s interior, with a waterfall center stack and switchgear out of GM’s current models. It's one of an eye-popping series of new Chevrolets. The Galibier’s conceive masters the challenge of uniting sportiness with the bring relief and grandeur of a modern four-door saloon. Beneath the bonnet, which bend back from both sides, there resides a 16-cylinder, 8-litre engine with two-stage supercharging. What makes this so special is that it was advanced as a flex-fuel 2 Bugatti engine, and can optionally be run on ethanol. Four-wheel drive, specially developed ceramic brakes and a new suspension design give the car agile, precise handling despite its saloon dimensions.

The interior reflects the elemental design of the exterior. The dash panel has been reduced to the essentials; two centrally located main instruments keep even the rear passengers constantly informed of the actual speed and utilised performance. Parmigiani Fleurier, the Swiss manufacturer of prestige watches, created the Bugatti tourbillon concept for the Galibier: a tourbillion watch integrated in the car’s dashboard that can be removed and transformed – thanks to the cleverly designed supports – into a wristwatch, a pocket watch or a table clock.

“Galibier” is not just the name of one of the most difficult Alpine passes to feature in the Tour de France but, in its time, was also the name of a four-door Type 57 variant unequalled in sportiness and elegance.

The latest rumor regarding Bugatti is the born of its new Veyron Centenaire Edition. For those who don’t know, Bugatti has been established 100 years ago, in 1909 and this year’s Geneva Motor Show will be the place where the French manufacturer will celebrate its birthday.

Some of our sources confirm the fact that the new vehicle will deliver almost 1350 hp while the top speed will be increased to over 420 km/h. Also, the vehicle will feature a custom body kit with plenty of carbon fiber just like the new Bentley Continental GT Eco Supercar! More details to be revealed! Stay tuned!

It is said that each of the four special edition Veyron 16.4 Centenaire pays homage to one of the company's pre-World War 2 Grand Prix drivers including Jean-Pierre Wimille (France, 1908-1949), Achille Varzi (Italy, 1904-1948), Malcolm Campbell (England, 1885-1949) and Hermann Zu Leiningen (Germany, 1901-1971).

While the special edition Veyron 16.4s remain mechanically intact, they do come with a special paint job that's combined with polished aluminum doors and front fenders as well as a other cosmetic upgrades. We'll have more on the Veyron Centenaire closer to the Villa d'Este festivities.
