What is it? This performance version of the new TT coupe and roadster will use the same basic 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder found in the base A3, but in the TTS it will produce 265 hp. The only transmission available in the US version of the TTS will be the S tronic clutchless manual transmission, like the one found in our tested A3. Audi claims the coupe can run from 0 to 60 mph in 5.4 seconds, while the roadster is 0.2 seconds slower. Top speed for both models is limited to 155 mph.

The TTS is fitted with standard all-wheel drive and a magnetic suspension system, which allows the driver to choose between a comfort or sporty ride. The sport setting lowers the body by 10 millimeters.

The interior features deep sport seats trimmed in either leather or a combination of leather and suede. The rest of the interior is standard TT fare, with the addition of a TTS specific sport steering wheel.

What is new or notable? The upgraded powerplant and magnetic ride are the biggest features. The rest of the TTS is mostly cosmetic.
